Bacalhoa Catarina Red 2019

Produced from the Castelão and Alicante Bouschet grape varieties, grown in the Setúbal Peninsula where the grapes benefit from excellent ripening conditions that enhance the personality of each variety.

These Castelão and Alicante Bouschet grapes find the ideal terroir for rich, elegant, and complex wines in the low-yielding vineyards of sandy soils in Palmela.

Both varieties were vinified separately using traditional methods and kept apart until the final blend was created. 25% of the wine aged for 12 months in used French oak barrels.
