This Eruptio Arinto dos Açores White 2021 on the palate, it invites with subtle touches of ripe tropical fruits, unfolding into growing complexity as delicate nuances of the oak barrel in which it was fermented and matured emerge, complemented by the subtle presence of a sulfurous volcanic breeze. It offers a refreshing marked by acidity and minerality. It has a body that persistently envelops, culminating in a salty finish.

Eruptio Arinto dos Açores White 2021

This innovative project, introduced in 2022 by winemaker Bernardo Cabral in collaboration with the Abegoaria group, presents the Eruptio line, which includes four wines made from indigenous grape varieties. The collection consists of three single-varietal wines – Arinto dos Açores, Verdelho, and Terrantez do Pico – as well as a blend that combines these three varieties.

Winemaking Process: The grapes were carefully pressed and underwent fermentation in French oak vats under controlled temperatures. Subsequently, the wine was aged for six months in contact with fine lees, remaining in the same vats.
