Mareleia refers to the place where flocks gathered for reproduction – a term that may be the origin of the name Amareleja.
This wine reflects the land that creates it. This wine was made from regional grape varieties, a duo primarily composed of Antão Vaz and Rabo de Ovelha.
Fully fermented in stainless steel at controlled temperatures (14 – 16ºC), we aim to preserve the fruit and maintain its youthful character.
After fermentation, each of the grape varieties, both Antão Vaz and Rabo de Ovelha, were racked from the coarse lees, and the blend was made subsequently. It was kept in stainless steel until bottling after 9 months of conservation in stainless steel.
