Pequenos Rebentos “À Moda Antiga” Alvarinho 2021
Born in Porto in 1983, Márcio Lopes developed a fondness for rural life in the company of his grandparents, who were dedicated to agriculture. He graduated in Agricultural Engineering in 2006 and began working with Anselmo Mendes as early as 2005, in Melgaço.
In 2008, he ventured to Australia, where he participated in two harvests, in Rutherglen and Tasmania. In 2010, he embarked on two personal projects, ‘Pequenos Rebentos’ and Proibido, wines that express the personality and character of the land. Experimenting, creating, achieving—this is Márcio Lopes’ life motto.
This wine is made from Alvarinho and Arinto grapes, macerated and partially fermented with the skins, followed by aging in used barrels.
