Deep red wine. Aromas of violet, wood, and black pepper. On the palate, there are soft and present tannins. The marked presence of violet aromas found on the nose continues through to the mouth.

Pasmados Red 2017

Pasmados, a flagship brand of José Maria da Fonseca, is also the name of one of António Soares Franco’s estates located in the Setúbal Peninsula.

This wine comes from a limited area, Quinta dos Pasmados, an 18-hectare property situated 5 km west of Azeitão. Originally known as “Tinto Velho J.M. Fonseca,” it later acquired its name from the famous Fonte de Pasmados built in Azeitão in the 18th century.

For this wine, fermentation occurs with skin maceration at 28ºC. It ages for 10 months in barrels.
