O Nipozzano Chianti Rúfina Riserva 2021 Bright ruby-red in colour, the Nipozzano Chianti Rufina Riserva opens on a nose of red and black berries — black cherry, raspberry, blueberry and currant — with delicate citrus notes, violet and rose flowers, and a close of black pepper and balsamic nuances. On the palate, the acid-alcohol balance is perfectly struck, with tannins well present and very elegant.

Nipozzano Chianti Rufina Riserva 2021

The Nipozzano Chianti Rúfina Riserva 2021 is the flagship of Castello Nipozzano, the Frescobaldi family’s historic estate northeast of Florence and a symbol of Tuscan winemaking tradition and its bond with the Rúfina terroir.

Sangiovese-based, it ferments spontaneously in temperature-controlled stainless steel, completes malolactic in the same vessel and then matures in barrel and bottle, gaining balance and complexity without losing its fruit.

Calls for roast kid, a dry-aged steak or a game dish. Serve at 16-18 ºC. 2021 harvest.
