Grande Reserva Pai Chão 2020 is Adega Mayor’s most iconic wine, produced only in truly exceptional years, when nature, time and human expertise come together in perfect harmony. This red represents the pinnacle of the estate’s expression, crafted for special occasions and with outstanding ageing potential.
Following manual harvest and careful grape selection, the destemmed grapes fermented in large French oak vats under controlled temperature. The wine then aged for 24 months in new French oak barrels, gaining depth, structure and complexity, followed by further refinement in bottle.
A highly gastronomic wine, it pairs beautifully with rich and comforting dishes, such as roast stuffed turkey, traditional Portuguese stew, or roasted meats, creating a memorable and refined dining experience.
